Belmont Historical Society Visit

4-30-22: What an amazing visit I had today at the Belmont Historical Society. This active group has two properties at 40 Catawba St., Belmont, NC, through which they share the history of their town and the people who have lived there. It was a beautiful day with sunny skies and a great crowd. I was so thrilled to meet newcomers to the trilogy as well as those who brought books to be signed and were already halfway through book three! Always a pleasure signing books and meeting those who have enjoyed them! Here’s a few highlights:

Chris Dunlap has read Books 1 and 2 and is now starting on In Fields of Daisies. It was so much fun hearing her insights and thoughts about the story!

Could not have been more thrilled to see Judy Rollins and Heather Irwin, lifelong friends who I simply adore. Heather was down from Maryland for a visit, where she owns a lovely barn and event venue. She read On the Eighteenth of May recently and is now ready for the rest of the story. Judy has already read Books One and Two, and promises me she will let me know what she thinks of In Fields of Daisies! Such an honor to sign their books today!

Ted and Freda Hall stopped by - So honored to sign their new copy of In Fields of Daisies. Two precious friends!

Spent time with Linda, a friend who stopped by and let me sign her Across the Broken Bridge.

Marcia Hunter, reader extraordinaire, read the first two books super fast! But this third one, she has promised me, she is reading slowly! Thank you, Marcia! it was so great to see you today, dear friend!!

Such a pleasure to meet Ginger, who has the whole trilogy set and was so kind to allow me to sign each one. Enjoy, Ginger!

Thank you, Kathy Johnston, for inviting me to this wonderful day at the BHS. So great to hear and see all the great things you and the BHS are doing to preserve and teach about the history of your town. Please enjoy In Fields of Daisies! - JRS
